Just for the record:

I love malt (candy) on ice-cream!

I love single malt scotch whiskey!

I also indulge in Maple syrup on ice-cream!

I even have our "local" version - Golden Syrup - on ice-cream!

Now lets put all that together, and we'll have the worlds yummiest (and most alcoholic) ice-cream. . Maybe Sjors could put his clown suit on and hand them around!

I didn't ask the question, but I'd have to say that's the best advice/description I've read on painting yet. Painting is one of my (many) weak areas. Thanks for posting such a great piece.

Thanks Keith - the Admiral keeps a pretty close eye on what chemicals are getting mixed here. Despite my desire to imbibe, I will actually stay off it until all meds are finished.

Very nicely done Augie. I hope to be at the same stage very soon - I've painted my yards, just waiting to attach the fittings now. I think I'll follow suit using wire for the stirrups. Do you have any close-ups of how you did these?

Nice to hear from you my friend and thanks for your good wishes. Along with the tonsillectomy was a UPPP, which I think is what is still giving me some grief. Despite the temptation I've stayed off the alcohol since the op - don't want to mix it with pain meds! However, the meds finish today, so that single malt is starting to look good.......

I remember your log from MSW 1 and was inspired at the time to buy your e-book. A great reference, though I've not yet had the opportunity to try out some of your teachings. I'm so glad you have re-posted as much as you have of the original log. A true delight to read and an excellent tutorial in itself. Thank you!
