  1. It is a very interesting model, I got to see the Hunley when I was in Charleston in 2014. It was still in the water soaking, but they had a couple of the top panels off and you can see inside, even see the hand crank.
  2. Finished the basic build of my Pot Pie Skiff. I sealed it with 2 coats of shellac and will start painting tomorrow. I’ve built and painted the engine box and install after painting, also will complete with accessories.
  3. Installed the decking and the keel. Drilled and installed the pipes for prop shaft and rudder shaft.
  4. Got some more work done on my Pot Pie Skiff, installed the flooring and cutout the deck. Now I need to cutout 26 small knees to support the deck.
  5. More work done on my Pot Pie Skiff. I planked the bottom and chunked the bow. I work on the side frames on the inside of the boat. I built the engine box and rudder. Next I have to cut out 26 knees to help support the side deck.
  6. Sunday I installed the starboard side and the chines. When dried I sand an angle on the sides and chines so I would have a better gluing area for the bottom planks. Today I started to plank the bottom.
  7. First day I put together the keelson , transom , stem . Then I installed the bulkhead and temporary bulkhead. Then I installed the port side.
  8. Bought a Pot Pie Skiff kit from Wye River Models. I’ve really like building work boats especially from Chesapeake Bay Area. I’ve done Crab Scraper, Hoopers Island Draketail and a Buyboat all from Wye River Models.
  9. Hello, where are you from?
  10. It looks like a well thought out building board that can be reused many times. Thanks for sharing.
