Jim Lad got a reaction from Piet in SS Kaiser Wilhelm der Grosse 1897 by Mirabell61 - FINISHED - scale 1:144 - POF - first German four stacker of the Norddeutscher Lloyd line
Very nicely constructed vents, Nils!
For those who might be wondering, red was a very common colour for the interior of cowl vents - probably more than 90% of ships used this colour.

Pete,
As you're building at a fairly large scale, would it be possible to build her as a sailing version but with a working drop centreboard? perhaps you could have a pin to fix the centreboard down for sailing.

RC is an alien world to me, but this is fascinating! Jon, with the model sailing, how do you cope with water in the cockpit? I would imagine that even on a pretty calm day you'd get a fair bit of water slopping over.
