  1. Did you consider to use a mixture of the white wood glue with water (50/50%) and then fix each knot with a small drop of this mixture using a small old brush

consider that CA might break after several years and this is a very hard glue connection which can also break after touching once you are finished.

this is my experience as well from several experienced builders in the Netherlands, we try to not use CA on shipmodels except when all other glues cannot be used

I am using CA only to make a needle from the beginning of a rope so this makes it a lot easier to have the rope in small openings from blocks etc.

  2. This looks very good Matti.

We are making a new standard all together with our Red Vasa's

Your Vasa does almost get the same level as the models in the museum. Once Fred has seen this model........

I assume you are also waiting for the Vasa II book in order to start with the other rigging. For the completion of this part it is not a requirement. Let's hope it will be ready after you finished your 3000 knots

  3. Nice to see your second Vasa here Mark.

As all good things you should do them twice to learn  ;)

with the figures you are correct, you should handle these very carefull, special the figures you have to remove from their supports.

you have noticed in the other builds of the Corel kit of course already several mistakes.

maybe we can together inform Corel how to modify this kit for the future  :dancetl6: so that all new generation Vasa builders can finally select more kit manufactures with correct kits. how difficult can this be with a great example in Stockholm
