  1. as of last week my build is now in full stop.

we are moving to a new house by mid of February and are now busy to pack all item collected after 23 years living in this house.

first job was to save all the modelbuilding items and tools and pack them correctly.

I hope to have everything unpacked and ready for restart the build around the summer as we have also to do some modifications in our new house.

Goal will be to have the Vasa ready to show as it is now during the Meeting of Historical Shipmodels in the Netherlands on May 7, see link below in my signature

  3. Hi Jan, a set of drawings would be great, are they in scale 1:75?

What are the big and small rowing boat called? Im seeing different names used around the net.

the drawing I have is from a long boat as found near the wreck of the Vasa.

you have to scale this to 1:75.

if you send me your email in a private message I will forward you the drawings and some pictures from the original in the Vasa Museum.

  4. Hi Chris,

enjoy your free time with your daughter and the coming newbie.

before you know you have time again for your ship modell  :D

maybe in your spare free time fix a work space in your new house out of range of children and then after a busy day you will start again :D

I had the same experience with my children and new job.

  5. Hi Martyn,

The Corel Kit has been developped in the early 70's just a few years after the recovery of the Vasa. there has not been any re-design from the kit.

As far as I understood Billing Boats re-designed their kit but no kit is really perfect, although the newest kit from DAgostini seams to be the most accurate kits, but this is just on the market this year, so we have to wait for this final result.

  6. Hi Michael, now I see you are working also on the 1:75 scale from Corel. I faced also the same problems

with some models it is an "art" to install items with some items not installing, like these blocks and all details. I also saw some builders who used only a small ball to simulate the blocks as this in these scales 1:75 almost impossible to do that realistic
