For this reason we should have a Time machine
Checking paintwork from that period in the Netherlands I personally expect something in between.
considering that the master of the build was from the Netherlands, but also the influence of the King of Sweden that this ship should be very impressive is to be considered.
in that period cost of labour was not a point, no problem to paint such a ship every year.

I first am making an contramall from paper and then planking on the paper. I learned this technic from a Russian builder and used this also for a previous small boat.
Later this week once the paper mall is fixed I will publish some pictures. for the paper I am using toiletpaper in combination with wall paper glue (called Papier Mache in the Netherlands)

started with the small boat
next step will be fixing these framesafter that start with planking and hopefully remove these temporary frames and replace them with "original" clamps.Due to private reasons the builds is still very slow although I have now a holiday break- marktiedens, fmodajr and Baker

I have just read your build and I am sure this kit will be on my wish list.
I watched some time ago already this kit in my Modelshop, but at that time I did not buy this, but reading your build triggered this again.
thanks for giving me the last hint to start with this kit also

Are you sure you are building the same scale model from Corel or is this in 1:35 instead of the original 1:75.
I see details on your model I cannot dream of, so perfect looking to the same on my Corel in 1:75.

check the various logs here for both Billing boats and Corel models and see how these are modified.
through information from the Vasa Museum we have been informed about this new kit:
http://www.editionsatlas.se/collection/VBU/Majestatiska-vasa.html
not sure when available in each country, but this will be a subscription modell with every month some new packages.
for the design of this modell there has been direct input from the museum, so this is expected to be a more correct version.
