  1. I'm fairly certain a frame such as this would not snap. Too thick.
  2. Why would they break. There will be beams supporting all of them and holding them in place. However if I were to cut the gun ports out it would all fall apart. I think whoever said plank it first had the right idea.
  3. Not sure what you're talking about I'm trying to cut out gunports.. Not to have just stability.
  4. Um I don't believe they are specifically Hahn plans. Look at my build log for the royal albert it will give you more of an idea. I would post a link to it but I am on my phone. I have all my plans posted there. I don't think I have a lofting plan only a body plan with 19 bulkheads shown. I am not doing a fully framed but I am putting in beams for the lower middle and upper gun deck as well as fire, quarter, and poop decks. It will be fully planked.
  5. Haha yes that's how it looks AFTER I've sanded it, Sadly! Any actual advice on how to use the wood putty to fill in the dents would be great. How do I shape it to fill in the dents?
  6. How would I go about adding more frames? The plans only come with 20
  7. So I have some bulges and indents In my hull and need to know how to use this stuff as I've never used it before. Does anyone have any tips and tricks or better yet know any good VIDEOS on like YouTube or something that would be good for this specific use of wood putty? I included some pictures hoping you guys could also tell me exactly where I should put the putty. Maybe take the photo in question into paint and circle, in red, the area where putty is needed. Any help is appreciated thank you!
  8. Hmmm planks would hold it well enough?
  9. As you can see they're pretty far apart
  10. No, they're frames like yours. I just call them bulkheads
  11. My bulkheads are much further apart they would just come apart there's no way to use spacers
  12. But when I cut them apart how do I make sure the top half is aligned perfectly with the bottom? Especially with the width of the gunport you wouldn't be able to lay it flat or anything
  13. How do I cut out the gun port on a bulkhead without it falling apart? In using the Hahn method so if I cut a piece out it the gunport to fix, my bulkhead would be severed from its upper half. Any tips are appreciated
  14. I must have bad eyesight (actually I know I do! ) I can't see them. Is there one near the now? It looks like a splice but not sure
  15. You didn't have to use any drop planks or splice any planks in? They all just fit smoothly?
  16. Could you post more pictures of the rust etc on the coppering? I liked the way you did that as well with the green tones.
  17. Really is coming along better than I had expected. Might need to straighten up your paint lines but other than that its looking actually pretty good. I like how the figurehead turned out.
  18. Could u post some pics of your progress?
  19. Hey Richard do you have any updates for us? I would really like to see how it's coming along
  20. Did u say this is plastic? It has a plastic keel and bulkheads and ten, what? Plastic fitted planks?
