Hello, thanks for the nice comments and likes. After the completion of chaloupe, I prepare the next boat project - Grand Canot -. Therefore, I compare the documents available to me. -J. Boudriot -Atlas Du Génie maritime -Photos From Paris Original Model The thwart with mast holder in the bow area is further forward. Therefore there are 7 instead of 6 thwarts. I think that the basis for the construction of the "Grand Canot" are acceptable.

Hi Mik, thank´s for your nice comment. Here are a few new images to build the sloop (chaloupe). The anchor davit (to laying out anchor LINK ) on the stern of the boat is constructed somewhat complex. For this detail the documents from J. Boudriot were not sufficient. Therefore, I oriented myself on Atrlas du Genie Maritime.

Here is the continuation of my report is to build the chaloupe: The rudder for the sloop I made of two parts, as in the original. The fittings I make of brass. The rudder was designed to insert and remove, for example, when the boat was stowed on the ship. Please look to the images. I hope that they like.

The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
