I can see why you're drawn to these sorts of ships - they had loads of character and atmosphere, not to mention they lend themselves beautifully to adding lots of fine details, (especially at the scale that you're building at).

I reckon you're doing a great job.

Many thanks for posting the photo as well. I don't about you, but I was always impatient to get my RC ships into the water too. I had jury rigged them and before I knew it, they were christened by salt water. I look forward to seeing your ship coming to life.

Hi Folks! I just thought I’d share my latest miniature model called “Majestic”. My model is based upon an actual boat design known as the Wider 150 (https://boutiqueboats.com.au/vessel/wider-150/). After a long break from building, I’ve recently managed to get back into working on this model. Whilst most of the work lately has concentrated on sanding and painting the hull, as well as adding more interior details such as the bathrooms, pillows on beds and pot plants scattered throughout various parts of the accommodation, I acknowledge that most of it is too small to see and appreciate. What can easily be seen, though, is that I’ve added the ‘water’ to the aft wet dock into which the ship’s tender is moored when underway. I hope you like where things are at so far! Cheers Patrick

Happy New Year, folks! Here’s my latest update of Splendid. Most of the accommodation across her six decks have been completed, but lots of work still remains; particularly in her two-decked engine room.

I'm really enjoying going through your build log, so far. Aircraft carriers have always held a particular fascination for me, so it comes as no surprise that your Saratoga is like a 'moth to a light globe' for me. I'm also amazed at your level of detail and commitment to historical accuracy. Great job!

Will you also scratch build the aircraft, as well?

Hi folks. I’ve been working on my latest mega yacht model named Inspiration over the past 14 months and is, as yet, still incomplete. As is customary for all my models, all of her decks are fully removable to reveal a fully detailed interior, from the engine room, right through to the top deck.

I’ve still got quite a bit of work to go, but I hope you like her so far.
