Thanks Don,i'm using the kit supplied sails they look pretty good, just got them soaking in tea at the moment.

I see what you mean by the clew garnets, some of the rigging instructions are guess work but if I go over them enough i'll understand it.

Thanks a lot Denis and Chris,i did forget the mouse on the stays but only I will know that.I think if I tried the trampoline I would go straight through it.Looking forward to putting the sails on should be a new experience,i've only done furled sails before.Ron.

Good decision, and mine looks good from a couple of metres away not a couple of feet.Anyone at home that sees it just think it's a stupid hobby,at least I like it and am only building it for me to be proud of.

More aftershocks not as strong but you never know.Standing rigging is going well, onto the main mast tomorrow.

No worries here just shaken up a lot,the endeavour did well.some people got thrown over no reports of loss of life or damage yet, looks like more rocks came down in redcliffs sumner.

Just had a 5.9 earthquake shook the hell out of the house 30km deep just by the coast nearby.Getting the house rebuilt next month anyway.
-
All the ratlines are done,i find it quite relaxing and easy compared to most other things.I'll attach the bowsprit next much easier doing the rats without it there.Don't you hate it when trimming the ratlines you cut through the main shroud line and yes you do it more than once, oops.
-
Finally got around to doing something.Futtock shrouds done, top shrouds, tie the deadeyes together next. After 5 years we are finally getting the house rebuild after the Chch earthquakes so the present house will be demolished next month.

Hi Max before you re-do anything have a look at google images under Endeavour full sails, looks like some photos do have lines going forward.ron.
-
Don't worry Max you followed the instruction sheet it does show them going forward.Have a look at other finished Endeavour builds to see how they have done it.ron.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
