-

Thanks a lot for all your great comments chaps.Denis i'm a complete amateur compared to a lot of other Endeavour builds.Pat looking at Gregs rigging not sure if i want to get to it to quick.Greg i fitted the kit supplied belaying pins but can get some more as i need them.Popeye the tiller rigging is from Cpt Slog and Shipaholic nearly at the end of the deck work.I seem to spent a lot of time re-glueing parts back on.Thanks Augie i'll leave off the anchors, small cannons, flagstaff i can see those being glued back on again and again.Just painting the deadeyes today.
-
Tiller rigging done the same way as Cpt Slog, kept breaking blocks trying to put wire all the way around.Other odd bits done on the deck cleats, hatch cover, steps, boats lashing rings, anchor pulleys.Chain plates next,I got some Amati ones so time to check out everyone else's builds to see how it's done.

Nice job Dave, she will come out nice with a fine sand remember the second planks are very thin so don't get to carried away with the sanding.Easy repair if you do though.

Hi Shaun,You'll enjoy it maybe not all the time until you see your progress.there are AL Endeavour build logs here, every kit is differant also the replica is differant to the aots etc books so it's a guess really to see how the original was.At least the name is the same.Maybe we should have been born 200 years ago to know for sure.Take your time if not sure ask there are very helpfull people here.

Thanks for your comments chaps,Added the breech ropes already just hard to see until you open the photo to full size.Cleats after some pancakes.
-
Cabin chimney added also wedges to cannons and barrel steps with card.Cannon carriers not accurate for Endeavour so it matches the rest of the kit,at least the name is the same.To much for my skill level to add extra block tackle to the cannons only 10mm of room for 2 blocks hooks rope etc.Add some cleats now, off to work while they dry.
-
Thanks Frank and Alistair,i know what you mean now,i'll just put a photo on.Rope on the tiller step re-done.Channel caps to go on later.
-
Thanks a lot for your comments men, very much appreciated.Alistair do you mean where the small hand cannons are mounted?
-
Binnacle,chimney,steering wheel,rudder step done,pumps next.Probably re-do the rudder step rope again with beeswax it's a bit fuzzy.
-
I have'nt had hawse holes line up on any kit i've done so far.Nice hull shape and wale line, much easier to add wales now i think.
-
Some more deck furniture, tiller, etc, must say the black hinges look better than just brass.Next job is to line the binnacle etc.

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
