  1. Thanks Dave and Denis.Dave I see now I needed to add belaying pins at the stage you are at now,to late for me.It would have made it easier for me when tying off.
  2. More sails on,i didn't think there was so much rigging on the ship,i did have 150 metres of it,not much left now.No idea the purpose of boom pendants a bit of a strange mounting position on the plans.
  3. Looking good Denis, nice to finnish the first layer sanding to get the nice hull shape.I'm off to get different glue today.
  4. Thanks Popeye, lots more to go yet next week I hope.
  5. Thanks Max, I hope mine comes out as good as yours. Thanks for the likes chaps.
  6. Mizz all done onto the reef ropes again next.Denis very kindly gave me some wax and instructions on how to do them. The wax I had was to soft I think.
  7. Thanks a lot Chris, lots of info there. My instructions are pretty mixed up on tie off points.
  8. I furled the sails on my Supply, now sails but next time no sails for a change I think.ron.
  9. Thanks Frank, quite a milestone to mount my first spar, they have been in the draw for a while.
  10. Most of the sails attached,I'll fix the mizz lower yard first then the gaff and sail.
  11. I've given up on the reef ropes for now I tried nearly every idea but nothing worked for me,maybe try different thread later on.Onto attaching a few sails, just need to make sure they aren't back to front like the first couple I did.Trial dry fit on the ship as well.
  12. Thanks a lot for all of your advice. The thread is Caldercraft I presume it's natural.I tried wetting and glue but that didn't work so i'll do it again as you've suggested with wax etc.
  13. She looks great, you need to go by what looks good to you.I've been guessing how things should look on my Endeavour for ages now.
  14. I've put some tie down ropes on the sails but I can't get them to hang down straight.I've tried ironing and different glues but nothing holds.Any ideas would be good.I might haveto just can the idea and leave them off.
  15. Thanks chaps, the X stitching was there already. The tie off points for the sails are very confusing on the plans,i'll just put them where I think they should go.
  16. Bowsprit nearly done, just bunt lines to do now.Next step is to attach the sails to the yards.
  17. Had a shake last night feels the same in the rental. The new house will be warmer in winter so that will be good.
  18. Thanks a lot chaps, they estimate 6 months for the house but we'll see.Do some more on the ship tomorrow.
  19. Well the house was demolished yesterday so doing some of the Endeavour from the rental, just started on the bowsprit sail.Next time I do sails i'll soak all of the sails at the same time to get a consistent colour.
  20. Great thanks a lot Henry,ron.
  21. What side of the sails do the clew garnets go front or back.On my occre endeavour plans they show them on the front and on their finished ship photo they are on the front.I guess they are to hoist the sail so it depends really on which side of the sails the crew stand to hoist the sail. Thanks for any advice Ron.
