  1. A little bit of progress after a break. Poop deck ladder etc, fire buckets, beakhead bulkhead. Carronades next.
  2. Wow they look great, you must be very proud of your Victory. I would just get a chair and a coffee and look at it for ages.
  3. Thanks Graham, nothing like your masterpiece but it's o.k. from a distance.
  4. Poop deck, bit of a disaster for the skylight. It's a good day when you find a missing part.
  5. I got 8 on two separate sheets. Bit weird, did they put the odd one on another 4mm sheet ?
  6. Thanks Alistair, I'm trying. The boat kits come with it, the planking is 0.5 thick so bends easily. Everything I touch at the moment breaks so lots of glue.
  7. Start of boats, I can do them in breaks at work. Cat tails started, going better once I realized the bend on the parts 131 and 64 are supposed to match the camber on the deck.
  8. Beautiful work as always. I seem to be breaking everything I touch lately. I would be lost on my Victory without your photo's thanks a lot, Ron.
  9. Cannons etc, onto cat tails next. Sit back and take it in now. Varnish jobs to do as well.
  10. Thanks, I found a couple of small gun ports still covered with planking, oops. Onto the waist ladders now. Thanks to Graham and Robert I now have stantions and black thread on the waist ladder and a thread to save the main companionway from disappearing into the hull.
  11. A few more projects done. The forecastle breast beam supports were a disaster. They disintegrated on removal from the template but I found some reasonable replacements.
  12. A few touch ups to go on the cannons then onto the skid beams.
  13. Thanks Graham, I'll try that next time. Allan it's to late to colour the breech rope for this deck but it's a good suggestion for the quarter deck. Never thought of doing that. I have done that with sails in the past.
  14. Thanks, I'll dry fit the eyelets to see if I need to blacken them. I failed on the Birchwood Casey brass black for the barrels. It did'nt like to stick very well after 30 seconds and that's with the Birchwood Casey cleaning solution as well. I'll have another go with it on the barrels for the quarter deck.
  15. Time to set up rigging on the carriages. Clear the block holes, line up hooks etc. Lots of work so far and I'm only fully rigging 10 cannons that will be seen.
