    i need to get on with the wheelhouse, and although i have a couple of general phots the rest is artistic licience, But the divider between the chart house and radio room is removable so i could do it all again, to many light i know but it is all wireless remote so i have all different brightness and solid or flashing mode, also with different speeds

    Good evening everyone having asked a few people i have decided to change the way i post my updates for this build. i so wanted to keep it clean and tidy, but as it is quite a big build there are lots of little projects that can be progressed Wheel house continues to hide the wiring i am trying to put it behind panels, the three lights under the bridge are in a position of my choosing as it is being built for my wife, and thats where she wanted them MAIN DECK so far i have used 50m of lime strip 1x5mm and need about the same again to completed the fordeck the hatched took me a while, as the kit just reuired them to be fixed the the lined deck, so i had to plank around them paint used for the hatches is MIG IDF green i bought for the D9R that i never finished they will later on fit like this

    lovely work Greg, i was just reading the me-262 wikki and got side tracked, lots of "what if's" i still dont think i could ever do a 1/350 me eyes would pop out and go to bed long before the rest of me

    mine is now slightly looser, and as in post 5 above, i never took the line higher than the channel, but secured it there

    thank you everyone for the comments and PM's Well i completed the boat deck planking, there will be a couple of small areas that are not cluttered with trawler gear i dont think it turned out to bad, this is prior to any sanding my next question is, should i treenail, and what would be the best best of going about it?

    i take lots of photo's but dont tend to get as much modelling done as i would like, i have been trying to decide what way i want to go, but seam to have found myself in large scale doing something different, the Victory will have a dry dock built for her this summer, my current build will be a cutaway, like the partly built SD14, and i would love to do a 1/30 ish Flower Class Corvette or Ton Class Sweeper that way to keep me happy for when i retire in a couple of years

    Steam winch Just forward of the superstructure is the steam winch, which builds into a very nice module, but with a lot of cleaning up it is 90% complete, but to finish the bits it will need painting, so will be done a lot later with all the other motors and winches that are sill in bags

    very much appreciated my plan at present is some time in the near future to slice the hull fwd to aft, just above the bilge keel, im hoping that with the right plans i will then be able to incorporate (from aft) accommodation, engine room, boilers, fish room, ???? accommodation depending on the line i cut will affect what is seen of course, another option is to remove on side only then i could let the fibre hull take the weight and with false bulkheads the wiring could be hidden the two halves will be kept apart by brass rods that will incorporate any wiring

    good morning Harry, thank you for your interest, I have never seen a cutaway trawler, so gthought i would have ago, the build would be to big for my car and a doggie, so i would rather spend my pennies on bits for the build rather than rc gear, and i can super detail it rather than making sure nothing drops of on the local pond

    Good morning everyone For the followers of my log, Do you want me to finish one section, then move on to keep some consistency (long time between posts) or show what i am/have done )regular updates, (but no consistency) this is a long term build, and i am hoping to teach my self new things as i go along, plus she will be a cutaway (well slice) as the top 1/2 of the hull will be displayed above the bottom part, to do this i am moving from one part to another whilst i waIt for bits to arrive or research to be carried out. i love posting what i have done, but realise that some dont like bitty logs

    Thank you for the comments this is how i am tonight Another question would the same wood type be used on the margins, i am doing this in lime strips 1mm x 5mm and purchased 1mm lime plank but it is very very brittle and i think unusable was wondering if birch would look silly, also this will not be a pristene build but a well used working static cutaway trawler also would the margins ever be painted?
