do you have any pictures of the davits in real life, i wondered if there was any connection to each pair to stop any twisting, if there was then you could complete of the build and put them on in as a unit

Good afternoon everyone still tidying things up at present, the set back was that i had put on all the top spars but forgot the lifts on them (sorted) The pendants obviously went on when the masting started, and nothing was ever done to them, so they are being trimmed back but space is very tight to get them right, upper deck cannons have now been removed, never did like them spars/yards have been reworked to get them all looking fairly level (sorted) i am still hoping she will be finished next weekend, but i now have a caveat to go with that i am presently planning on a representation of number 2 dock to display her in, that is going to take some time so in case any damage is done i dont want to put on any rope coils otherwise they might be in the way if a line gets snagged and needs replacing things i know that have to be done 4/18 pendants to be finished off replace 20 copper tiles and then apply a salt wash to tone it all down rope coils lanterns 2 tucks on mizzen mast kedge anchors check/ and secure any loose ends bowspit netting obtain at lease one ships boat rig port stun boon general tidy and touch up mast tops change the title to COMPLETED lol

Thank you Robert this is a build that has dragged on for 4 years to long, i have changed my mind so many times about what to do with her, space is not fantastic in our home so she is being put into my man cave, the stand was only really thought about last week , lol the list is endless, but i would do it all again, without doubt, but the rebirth of the Amerigo Vespucci is the next big project after building no 2 dock

Im still undisided, , but there must have been a time when she perhaps went in for a maintenance period, before returning back into service, so im perhaps narrowing it down to post Trafalgar but prior to her permanent docking, Having said that i guess there is no reason why it cannot be now, lol decissions, decissions What i want is a representation of Victory in a dock, but dont want to open myself up more flak from the rivet counters

About the NRG
If you enjoy building ship models that are historically accurate as well as beautiful, then The Nautical Research Guild (NRG) is just right for you.
The Guild is a non-profit educational organization whose mission is to “Advance Ship Modeling Through Research”. We provide support to our members in their efforts to raise the quality of their model ships.
The Nautical Research Guild has published our world-renowned quarterly magazine, The Nautical Research Journal, since 1955. The pages of the Journal are full of articles by accomplished ship modelers who show you how they create those exquisite details on their models, and by maritime historians who show you the correct details to build. The Journal is available in both print and digital editions. Go to the NRG web site (www.thenrg.org) to download a complimentary digital copy of the Journal. The NRG also publishes plan sets, books and compilations of back issues of the Journal and the former Ships in Scale and Model Ship Builder magazines.
