]The repairs are finished, some some tidying up to do.So its back to some buildig alast

The blok was done by drilling holes in some scrap, glueing pieces to the ends, painting it black, rigging the block, then glueing it to the underside of the deck

Nothing has been glued yet.The cannon is to give the angle of the ladders, the barrels to see if they need moveing

Hi

Thank you kindly for your remarks. The model is based on Chucks MSW MAYFLOWER.The barrels where rubbed down with wirewool

to take the shine off and to give them a key, painted matblack, let dry ,then scraped it off useing my nail its softer than a blade, then polished useing my finger andsome tinted wax.

[Just a few pics, and has anyone got an easy way of making kevels? AL has 2 bits off wood stuck at an

angle to a flat piece of wood.

Tony,

Congratulations on your Mayflower. It looks that you turned your Artesania Latina kit into a Mayflower II replica, similar to the Model Shipways kit.

That is exactly what I intend to do with the Constructo kit.

How would you compare the two kits (AL versus Constructo) ? See my review here: http://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/topic/2260-kit-review-mayflower-165-by-constructo/

Thanks

Yves

Hi Yves.

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. The problem with rigging is that it takes so long for so little,I have just started on the ratlines on the fore mast.

Regards the cannons, they came with kit and it seemed like a good idea at the time to add the bucket and the other bitsI having a day off tomorrow I am going down to see the MAY ROSE I watched them bringing her up on tv.

HAVEYOU STARTED YOURS YET.

All the best

The wife reckons MSW has been a bad influence, with on the shelf and next build. In my heading I said this was my second build, the first was over 50 years ago.The MAYFLOWER was a present but I can now say on the shelf is my next build having  just bought the SANTA MARIA by AMATI.

Anyway some more pics off some string
