Hi Augustus

 

Never thought of using bread and butter for making a model of a historic sailing ship. It looks to be a fantastic build, where did you get the plans for the San Martin from and what wood are you using for the bread of the hull?. Will follow your progress with interest.

Thank you for your kind words slowhand.

Regarding your questions, the bread is clean straight grained pine planks 3/4 inch thick.

There are no blueprints other than a few pictures and my imagination.I am just making

it up as I progress.Half of the time I don't know what I am doing .

It all looks so simple, clean cuts and sharp woodwork, sign of a true craftsman
