Box arrived today

post-622-0-43680800-1365077515_thumb.jpg

as you can see the boxes (2 on top of eachother) are quit damaged as was mentioned by the seller.

post-622-0-03331400-1365077518_thumb.jpg

at first glance none of the pieces inside are damaged . mostly due to the fact that there is plenty of space in the boxes and everything actualy fits in one box

as usual i started with markign and counting the parts

OcCre does not make this easy as there are 2 seperate numberings going from 1 to over 200 with some parts coverd in both numberings

after a first count of premade wood and metal parts i have 1 part missing and 2 others lacking the needed quantity

i wil let the store wher i bought it know and that i will email them a detailed describtion of the missing parts this weekend

the instructions consists of a booklet with colour pictures covering the hul and deck furniture assembly (first numbering)

the book wiht the text going with these pictures is in spanish so i wil need to see if an english translation is available (if not with online translators and a bit of understanding of the language i have i should get a decent translation myself)

finaly there are 23 A3 plans stapled together covering masts and rigging (the second numbering)

both instructions seem to be an improvement from the AL instructions i have seen so far but the double numbering is a bit stupid

Hi Adrieke,

That's a nice kit you've got there!

I have looked it myself to make it so i will follow you with this one also.

When you are missing parts ,maybe you can send OcCre an e-mail and they will send it.

I was missing a few parts from my other builds from OcCre and they send it right away!

Like Augie said, better to check to make sure you have everything now and if anything is missing contact the company to get what you need before you start. There seems to be a lot of stuff missing, hope it doesn't take that long to get what is missing, you might be better off contacting "OcCre" right off the bat and this way maybe you can get the missing pieces faster then going through the place you bought the kit from ( take out the middle man ). Wish you the best of luck, most company's take care of the customers when this happens.

Hi Adrieke,

If you need the email address from OcCre, let me know.

Was the box open or closed when you received the package?

I'm mean then the box from OcCre.

yes Jeff i think it wise to check any kit from any manufacturer . i know its a time consuming and sometimes dificult task. especialy if you not only check the premade parts but make sure that the supply of wood /thread/wire is enough.

Hi Adrieke,

I' ve send a few monkey's your way…...

With my San Ildefonso i also have not an English translation.

I ask OcCre about it and they said….no!

So I'm "reading" the pictures and it works just fine.

If needed I can use Google translation.

Not the hole line but a few words.

Otherwise it is Chinese to me  :)

Wow, thats a lot of missing parts, Amigo.  I'd throw in more spanish but strangely I only know the word that are food related. I think inventory of parts is my worse hated part of building but your experience shows just how much it is necessary.

Reminds me of the time I was working at the packing house and did inventory with a guy that was dyslexic. Maybe he's working at OcCre now and counted your parts. ;)
