Hi,

My names Vic and I am scratch building a 1:250 scale USS Missouri. I have recently completed a similar scale model of HMS Hood which I would welcome sharing with anyone in terms of the build and finished model (including all the mistakes and frustrations). I am certain I will encounter a number of similar issues with the new model and hope that some of you can assist me with suggestions (nice ones please) and help with finding various components (life rafts spring to mind at this moment.

Regards

Welcome to MSW Victor! You are in the right place for getting help and suggestions. Starting a build log is a great way to get some of that help, plus it is fun to watch the progress of the builds. Best of luck to you on your next build and I look forward to seeing your work!

Welcome aboard Vic,

This is a great place to learn and share tips and techniques.

When you're ready, feel free to start a buildlog.

If needed, you'll find plenty of advise, help and encouragement.

Good luck with your tiny Missouri build.

I wish you smooth sailing with our gallant crew.

Regards,

Anja

Hi Vic,

Welcome to MSW.  There's quite a few battleship/battlecruiser builds in the Kit area so you might have a look there.   I'd suggest starting a log and as for parts and pieces, take a look here and ask if don't see anything that helps: https://modelshipworld.com/index.php?/forum/15-discussion-for-a-ships-deck-furniture-guns-boats-and-other-fittings/
