Ship stand

Hi guys 

Sorry if this is not in the right area.

I'm building the occre diana but  she doesn't come with a stand. Have you guys got ideas on how to build one or just buy.

I'd rather make one just need some idea's.

Not real keen on the small pedestals

Brass spacers used in lamps can make good ship stands.  They already have a hole through them so simply running a screw up through the base board, spacer and into the keel makes a solid stand.  These are links to a couple of lamp part supplier that sells them.  You can usually find good ones for about $5 a pair.

I build launch ways. They are sturdy, the model is very stable and removable.

I used a piece of driftwood for a stand on Badger 1777.

Love your slipway I'd just have to get the angles right.the driftwood is an interesting concept.
