Renault R-35 Tank by GrandpaPhil - FINISHED - Warlord Games - 28mm - Resin and Metal

This is a Warlord Games R-35 Tank in 28mm scale.  I haven’t wargamed in nearly 20 years, but the 28mm ranges are great sources of obscure subjects (and fun projects).

The R-35 was an early war two-man tankette belonging to the French.  The German Army liked them well enough to capture them and press them into service.

This is a resin kit with metal detail parts.

I assembled it a while back and primed it black.

I wanted a quick project for today, because it is nice to occasionally make something that you can finish in a few hours (I can’t build multiple ships at the same time).  I tried to make it look nice and muddy.  I still have some detail painting to do.

I’ve had fun painting it today.

What a great build.Very nice work.

What an amazing vehicle! Whatever possessed them to even think of it, much less put it into production? And yet must have been useful if the Germans took over and used captured ones.

Thank you very much.  It is intended for a game called Bolt Action.  I have built several models from this line.

I have never played it, but the models and miniatures are top notch.
