The artful and fancy engravers cursive writing is difficult to reproduce on a computer, but there may be a program or app(lication) in newspeak out there for it. I draw up the plaque in Illustrator, save it as an eps file and the sports trophy shop etches it on a brass plate for about A$20. I have found a way around my problem, I installed a novelty certificate app on my phone and now I can do any kind of writing in black on white and white on black depending on what way I want the etching to come out. mtaylor 1

The plaques look good, nice crisp edges to the etched letters. Maybe it is just the photos but they look like they might be copper. Copper etches very well with ferric chloride. Murcia 66 Posted March 14, 2020 Author #12 Posted March 14, 2020 Thanks Bruce d, iam please with the way that they turned out but a little annoyed that the company I purchased the brass from advertised it as yellow brass. Also I am very please with the cost it works out about 4 euros a plaque so can't argue with that. Cheers Mark mtaylor 1
