Opa47 Posted April 1, 2020 #1 Posted April 1, 2020 Hello all. I just found this forum a couple days ago. It's been a long time since I've done any model building but decided to get back in. I built a 32 inch plastic Cutty Shark, with all the rigging, about 50 years ago. Since the I've built wooden version of the Robert E Lee, river boat, and the Bluenose. Just ordered the HMS Terror. Been thinking I'd like to build it as it was originally built, as a bomb vessel. When it was built in 1812 it had 10 cannons and 2 mortars. It was used in the in the war of 1812 here in the states. I believe it was around the 1830's it was converted and used for exploration. I thought with all the expertise on this form I could get thoughts as to whether this is a good idea or not and were I might find some further information as to the original construct and design of the Terror.
