Howdy Scott keeps looking better as it goes.

Fully masted, rigged and with sails she will be majestic to look at.

Cheers mate. She should be looking fine when complete.

The kit supplied rope is very nice to use, Don't need lots of wax to beat the fluffies down. But nowhere near as good as chucks. It will be suffice for my needs.

Made a start on the foremast. At the stage I have to add the side boards and bend the front.  So far so good

Hi Scott, your build is looking very nice indeed. I just started my AL Endeavour which came in the same box you have. So, it too is about 30 years old or so. The wood seems to be in fair shape. I keep going up and back if I should do a build log. I want to contribute but most of the members are so much better than me, I don't know if they would get anything out of it (accept a good laugh!). It's been so long for me that I would have to go back and review how to add a build log. Oh, I ordered the AOTS Marquarts Endeavour book and also the book written in depth by Ray Parkin. It will be at least another week before I get the first one and probably closer to three weeks on the Parkin book. I think it's being shipped to me from near your area.

Anyway, again - very nice job. It's looking great. When I finish mine I will give it to one of my sons that I haven't yet made a ship for. It will be months and months before I get to where you're at today. Thank you for doing such a nice job Scott.

Homer thank you very much.  Even with my build I find it hard to put up posts that are interesting. Like for example, The masts and rigging stage im doing at the moment is not the most interesting aspect. But also trying to keep viewers entertained.  Hardest part of a build log.  I hope you enjoy your build. Its a very nice hull to work. Cheers Scott

Hi Scott

I got the exact same Endeavor model about 25 years ago from my wife for either xmas or my birthday, never seemed to get a chance to start it. in the mean time i built a 1800 sq. ft. cottage and a two story 1800 sq. ft. garage but this model seems to me a lot harder to figure out. I have never built a boat or any other model for that matter since the little plastic car ones as a kid. I find the instructions ( or lack of instructions ) to be very vague so I went to  Duck Duck Go ( hate google) and found your blog. with the help of your photos i might be able to get the woodworking part done but I cant imagine with my shaking hands and waning eyesight of ever  getting the rigging completed.

I take it this project isn't really for first timers but who knows i might surprise myself.

Hello everyone!. Yes I'm still around. Sorry I went on a model railroad rampage. I caught the model railroad bug. Also started up a YouTube channel on it. Apart from that not much ship building. So..... today I dusted off the Endeavour and fixed a couple of broken pieces that had been damaged over the years. Also tracked down all my tools etc. Will be starting back up from where I left off. I looked through the instructions to find where I left off and will be back into it shortly!.  Great to see some of you oldies still on here from way back!! Looking forward to chatting as we go along.

Well here we go.! Finished off the shrouds on the main mast. And Finished off the shrouds on the foremast. Started on doing the rat lines on the upper foremast. Coming back to this after about 4 years is bringing back a lot of memories.

Progress update. Have been working on the main and foremast ratlines and shrouds. Have got to do another crowsfeet set up on the main mast just like the foremast has. I'm happy found motivation again to continue.

Glad to see you are back.
Yeah, looking forward to doing ratlines is about the least motivating step in a build, but once they are done, you are so much closer to doing running rigging, which I think is motivating.
Great looking build.
