I started my adventure with wooden modeling from the Spanish galley "La Real".
I have some experience only in modeling plastic ships.

I decided to try it on a scale of 1: 150. Model built according to Dusek's plans.
Making details in a scale of 1: 150 is not easy, especially without experience. With the help of experienced colleagues from the Polish forum "Koga", the work is still progressing.
The hull is made of balsa wood.
Planking and deck made of pear strips 0,5 mm.

Sorry for my english - google translate rules ;)

The next step was to finish the planking and painting.
The hull was painted with acrylic paint from Talens spray series.

The photos of the replica from the Maritime Museum of Barcelona are reference material.

My lack of experience and skills was the cause of many problems when making several dozen elements.

When I build a model on this scale for the first time, the effect is acceptable to me.

A model shipwright and an amateur historian are heads & tails of the same coin

current builds:

HMS Berwick 1775, 1/192 scratchbuild; a Slade 74 in the Navy Board style

Mediator sloop, 1/48 - an 18th century transport scratchbuild

French longboat - CAF - 1/48, on hold

Mistakes?  I don't see them.  I just a beautiful model being built.
