Your are write Matti,

I realized now that for some items I should have started earlier with the painting, but that has happend, so now I am painting some parts even with one hair pensels.

starboard side is now also painted. in order to get going on, I have already glued some attributes in front and rear side (as an activator for my self to continue after this holiday period :) )

JanV,

Coming along beautifully. Nice work with the painting, so time consuming, but worth the effort. I really like your bow section, you have really captured the look of the 1:1 Congrats...Looks so great especially since its a Corel (:-)

@ Jan:

the attirbutes are already dry-fitted before I fixed this one. I know now that I need some extra fillers inbetween the figures as the figures dimensions are not exactly correct due to some changes by me.

further ordered some extra attributes to replace the dolfins as delivered by Corel(Corel partnummer D304)

Question for the Corel builders of the Wasa.

I am dry-fitting the figures and noted that I have to modify some of them as the angel is not correct, specially on the galleries

Does anyone have any experience in adjusting these figures by bending or other technics.

Thanks

Jan,

I also experienced that the curvature of the figurines did not match the gallery. I have grinded a little bit the back of the heads, and also made some dents in the galleries to accommodate the heads, for which I used my Proxxon-tool. Still the curvature did not really match the curvature of the gallery, but with some glue I was able to position the figurines straight.

Success!!

JanV. DO NOT try to bend them. They will break. Try using the grinding method mentioned above.

There aren't but two options: do it FAST, or do it RIGHT.

That is indead a good point for the Billing kit.

I have already painted al figures and I am not going to change this anymore.

I will check this weekend which and how many figures are having a problem.

Does anyone knows a website with very good pictures of the 1:10 model in the Museum which I can use for the painting as a guideline

I am now using this as a reference, but not all details are complete shown.

http://www.modelships.de/Museums_and_replicas/Vasa-Museet-Stockholm/Photos-Vasa-model.htm

during my visit in Stockholm I made some pictures but due to the bad light in the museum, most of them were not good made (studid, I know) I can ask for a re-visit to my wife, but I assume she will not approve this visit

I expect to continue tomorrow, nice sunday without any appointments, so all day working on the Vasa, hopefully, unless my wife has other plans.
