Jan,

A pleasure to watch your progress with the Wasa!

I noticed that you have 6 figures on the stern above the (still to be added) windows, while in the Wasa-museum there are 5, so that these figures align with the five heads above them. Did you place them like this purposefully?

Completed:

Catalina from Mamoli (1/32)

European small river ship (scratch build) (1/50)

Currently building: Wasa from Corel (1/75)

Future: Titanic (Mantua), Batavia (Kolderstok), Friesland (Mamoli), Bismarck (Hachette), Prins Willem (Corel)

You are right, I made a miscalculation here.

I now see why I missed one other figure on the side galleries, I thought I lost one :)

Let me check if I can correct this, but that will be later this week as I have visitors this evening and I will not be allowed to go working in my model workshop

JanV,

Nice update..

PS: On the weekends I don't work on the ship, my sweetheart gets annoyed by the sound of the Proxxon rotary tool. Your notations were funny.

Nice painting JanV,  I also use acrilic but have some trouble with the brush size.  What do you use to paint the small details? Yours are awesome!

As long as our house is not sold, I can use all my spare time for modelbuilding.

After the house is sold I expect the build will go on hold for a few months, I will keep you posted

Hi Karl,

I hope so also, but depends on what we have to do in our new house, I hope to have then a very big model workshop, indoor, heated etc and a lot of space for all my equipment. so it might take some extra time to fix all this. I keep you all posted

JanV,

Good luck with your home sale. It is always nice to look forward to having more space. Also your hobby room will be organized as you want it to be. Nice rudder work (:-)

Thanks Michael,

As I have an week off this week from work, I continued with some small items:
first of all the new figures between the doors:

2014-04-29%2018.54.46.jpg

and started with the assembly of the canons, I planned to make the strips using black paper.

JanV,

I will use your method for pre-rigging my carriages. Good idea. Your build is coming along very nicely.

Hola Jan, I am just in the process to adding the gunports and your idea of rigging the line to the cannons looks great.
