Hello,

lower Ratlines and swivel guns in progress. I don't mind doing them, and I do get into a bit of a rhythm as I go, but I'm just a bit slow with the process.

All of the yards are hung, and ties, halyards, parrels, slings etc... are complete for all. She really looks like a ship now!

Francois,

May I ask what is going on with the lights in the last picture  - It seems your lights have covers over them?

Just curious.  Also, I have probably asked you this several times already, but I will ask again: (ahem) did you glue your masts and bowsprits in place prior to rigging?

Thanks for any information or thoughts you (Or anyone else) might have on this subject matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Bonjour François,

si j'aurais su.... if only I had known (or found) your build earlier. Last week I spent two days of holiday in Saint Louis and visited the fantastic Musée des Compagnies des Indes and the Musée de la Marine there. I am very inpressed by the make up and the so apealing presentation of their exhibits. The fortress and the city itself are very impressive and make our hobby even more fascinating giving a perfect idea of naval background in the 18ième centuring.

I congratulate you to your very nice Granado.

Salutations collégiales, greetings and cheers

Joachim

Dear Brian

I used two lights, one on each side of the ship. I believe this is the first time you've asked about it. Yes, I glued the masts and bowsprit before rigging. To me, it seems like the normal approach. Do you progress with your Granado ?

Pardon, correction: PORT-LOUIS , of course

Guten Tag  Joachim,

I'm glad you enjoyed Port Louis in Brittany. It's a lovely city. Thank you for the pictures. The model is "Le Massiac," a flute from the Compagnie des Indes, built in 1758 at Lorient.

Freundliche Grüße

François

Awesome progress, so jealous that you are so far ahead of me and that it looks soooo good!  Well done, you set the bar high, and I will try my best to follow your example!

Hello,

I have a question about the fish davit. What do you think of the stowage location for the fish davit when it's not in use ? I haven't found any specific information regarding the stowage of fish davits.

Thank you for your help
