16th Century Spanish Cannon Carriages

Hi All,

Once again I come to the forum for help. Where can I purchase 2-wheel 16th century cannon carriages? I have checked the usual suppliers, but I can't find the 2 wheeled carriages. Can anyone advise?

That is correct. The 2 wheel carriages were used on Spanish galleons until around 1642 or so. Other countries had already changed to 4 wheel carriages.

The problem is where can I  buy the carriages I need? All I see are 4 wheel types.

Good question on buying them.  I've not seen them though someone may sell them.    Worst case is buy some of the 4 wheeled ones and modify them.

The wheels are rather proportionately small, though.  I ended up modifying 4-wheeled carriages to make 2-wheeled carriages for my Spanish Galleon.

Thanks for your response and link. I will take Jeff's recommendation and covert 4 wheel carriages to 2 wheel carriages. Sure wish these manufactures would start paying attention...
