Same idea I have on my mind when I think of the "Surprise" ( Have you been in my head) I thought of these in the early 2008 when I saw the movie "Master and Comander" This is very good. I have been working on my model of Surprise for three and a half years on and off... This project is a real labour of love for me and I only work on her when I am really in the mood! I have read through all of O'Brians "Aubrey/Maturin novels at least four times and am now on the fifth go round, (I do read other books too)! I am trying to make a compromise representation between all the resources that I have, Admiralty drawings, Hunt/Lavery/Marquardt and even "Jotika's" model. I am rigging her as per Marquardt/O'Brian, with the extended main mast e.t.c. Here are a few more shots in no particular order... Thanks for looking. Cheers, Pete.
