That's a fine  build you have there, the ports I assume are starboard and not port.

hello foxy welcome to my build log yes the gunports going to take a some work just taking my time right now need heal up a bit down to my right hand for about 5 days i hope. i can do some work not to much right now

hello canone i cant work on it for a few more days .doc oders so i just going to read on stuff it hand need to heal a bit more then i will be back in the shipyard so for right now the drydock is closed lol

Sounds like you have the luxury of some time to research.  With that planking job I see in your future this just might turn out to be a good thing

ok thay said the dry dock are now open     i did some work on the vic i got both sides gunports mosly done did some black paint in the gunports  still have to fix some stuff on them but so far it looking real good . so i now i have to get back the the planking . so here are some pic for u all let know what u all think so far

well......I'd say your little inconvenience didn't hold you back!    looks really good   you can refine the ports while you do the second planking.  are you going to do the wales and rails before you do the second planking?   if your second planking is .5 mm,  there would still be sufficient rise in the different thickness of wood.   they can also be used as a guide..........like banding the different quadrants.

ok hello all in the pic u will see that iam just doing the rest of the planking frist stage in the kit thay did not send a nuff wood so i used some strips i had thay are of the same size so i was  lucky there . there is some spots that need to be fixed befor i start the sec stage of planking . on with the show as jpett says lol

Your first planking looks really good 

 

I would highly recommend doing the belts and marking off the hull as per the planking tutorial. Its might seem like a lot of work and is: but actually ends up being a lot less work in the end. I learned that the hard way on my Ratt.

Belts are what you get when you divide up the hull for planking. From the wales down you should have at least 3 maybe four. Creating them will prevent your planking from wandering plus make the job easier by breaking it up.
