hello all in this pic u will see i have done some more planking at the mid point i know its a diff kind of wood but it is the same size wood as the walnut.  i was short the walnut in the kit so iam strips of wood from  constructo thats all my hobby shop can get .so far all is going well i will ad the wales after iam done with the planking stage. is u see something wrong ples let me know thank u all

Hey dragzz. It's looking great. I'm sure that different colored wood won't make any difference below the water line as that will eventually be painted over I assume.

looking very nice Dragzz.......you can always stain to match the upper wood,  what isn't going to be painted or coppered.

 

if you can though,  try to get away from those 10 mm brads........see if you can get some push pins,  the long slim type if you can.   your going to end up having to do a lot of repair work when your finished.

Dragzz, changing the subject from planking, I want to through something at you to be thinking about. I have not figured out my approach. Maybe you might have an idea.Between column line 5 and 7 there are gun ports on the lower level. The area under the deck on the bulkhead is going to be hard to finish.

thanks popeye yes iam going copper plate the bottom it should look real good when its all done just have to wait till  it come in .but there more to do till then. more pic soon

planking so close to be done iam 4 planks a ways from it wow thats take a long time to get done but iam all most there now i can see the light at the and of the planking stage lol  i will post some pic real soon

Dragzz did you look at the area under the top deck to figure out how to finish the walls and place the guns in position? You can see the area through the opening in the top deck.

Hi Dragzz

Just been looking at your build so far, doing a great job keep up the good work.

 

There is one thing that I feel I should ask about and that is the sweep of the deck at the forecastle in the pictures it looks like it has too much making the deck to high.

Not sure if the part numbers are the same as I have much older plans but does the part number 66 pressed wood fit at the breakhead bulkhead.

Sorry if I am wrong.
