Looks like an interesting build Vincent. Think I'll pull up a chair and follow along.

I love the riverboats.  If you follow Allen Bates you can't go wrong.

HI,

my father is a big fun of building ships from scratch, just the blueprint and wood, rope...

I'm trying to find him a blueprint of somekind of mississippi river boat.

queen, king of miss., marieville or something like that.

can you please tell me if know, where can I find those blueprints? I see you got I nice blueprint on first few pictures :-)

I'm interrested in any way to get them, just the pictures/scans and I will print them at work on A2 format or already printed.

Just if they are not too expesive :-)

any help or info is welcome!

thanks,

Marko

John Fryant is probably the foremost provider of riverboat plans.  Google “paddle wheel and props”.

I am just following along, But want to thank you for the reference to John Fryant's as a source. I love paddle wheelers, and as soon as I finish the kit I am about to start I am going to try the "from scratch' approach

What scale is this build? Also what is the diameter of the paddel wheel?
