  1. my gosh, what a beautiful paint job, and gorgeous last shot....i know i could never match the exquisite workmanship done here, and am totally at peace with it, and it's so nice to do what i've done, so i can truly appreciate those who are the true modelers........ i had problems with scale also on the zhl san felipe.......wasn't happy with that model....was a waste of money, and made me fearful of buying anything else from them, in spite of the beautiful wood carvings they produce, even though some of their models may be excellent.... maybe modelers like you have developed their skills over many lifetimes...same spirit in different bodies...it's the only thing i can think of, to explain all the prodigies who have been born in this world.... so mr. prodigy.....congrats!!!
  2. i would say beyond immaculate!!!.......oh....it's about those belaying pins way up top in the first? image.....a bit of a reach, and a bit of a handfull?.....curious....vc
  3. .he's alive!!!....he's alive!!! ..gads....you disappeared!!... absolutely marvelous!!!....oh...what's the future of le soleil royal?? too bad that kit is not available....
  4. man is born, then leaves the world and is mostly forgotten, but brilliant modelers and artists, like mark, create legacies which defy time, and uplift and inspire mankind to continue to pursue that dream, where peace and harmony prevail....
  5. this ship....immaculate work....i'll need a few more lifetimes to achieve that level of perfection.....congrats!!!!......
  6. strange...''they'' had course, medium, and fine.....purchased at home depot in vancouver many years ago.....i can't even see them mentioned anywhere online.......i guess the the sandpaper manufacturers, forced termination somehow.....first sandvik, then another company took over....then.....ziltch.......they were-are just wonderful.....
  7. this to me was one of the best inventions next to velcro and crazy glue...ok ....i exaggerate....😁 i've cut pieces from this one and glued them to various shaped wooden handles
  8. these were actually metal with a rough, i think, carbide grit on the surface...i'll send photo when i get back from walk with wife...
  9. i intervene, by asking anyone here if they have seen any metal sanding sheets, i think with carbide abrasive coatings , fine and coarse.....it's like they don'l exist anymore ......they put sandpaper to shame....i still have some after 40 years.....sandvik came out with them first....you can cut them to any shape....the most wonderful tool ever.....maybe it's some kind of suppression?.......thanks....
  10. right on!!!.....ha...i spend half my time correcting my mistakes due to impatience, and cleaning messes i should nor have made in the first place.....😁
