That's a bummer you have to re-do them, but at least you caught it when you did, before they were glued to the deck and the rigging was started.

Wow!  Thanks Ken. Sorry Jack, for the wrong info!   I should have looked directly on the Weller site for those pencil types. The largest wattage Weller product HD advertises is 40 watt. 

So sorry Nenad. You have my deepest sympathies.

Lot of holes there Dennis!   Did you drill all those out by hand?  Must have taken hours!

I already have small and large propane and butane torches. And the large Weller is one I've been eyeing, but don't have just yet. Thanks for the info!

That's some really lovely "iron-work" Ken.  I'll be ordering your book around the 1st of next month, along with a couple others. 

I'm glad you mentioned the metal milling capability of those bits Michael. On the contrary, I value your opinion on these tools a lot, since you've been doing this smaller scale wood-working, and I haven't. I know I won't be doing much, if any, metal milling that will require a metal lathe or milling machine, so finding bits for wood will be just fine. Finding the larger ones is easy. It's the smaller bits I'm looking for.  My milling machine is going to be simply a drill-press with an X-Y table, strictly for doing wood. So these bits don't need to be Proxxon.

Thanks Michael! I've spotted a couple Proxxon sets starting with the 1mm up to the 10mm, but it looks like I should start looking for some in-between sizes.
