lionfish got a reaction from mtaylor in shroud questions
so if i understand you correctly the odd shroud on both the starboard and port sides are connected in a similar way the regular shroud pairs are? and the tackle pendant is essentally a loop in the shroud that a block on the rest of the shroud loops through?

Hi All,
Follow on post to show you how things look after rigging the sail onto the foremast. The pairs of single blocks attached to the foremast were used to rig the foresail halyard and lift. They were then tied off to the different windlasses. Bowlines were then tied off either through the deck ring bolts onto Syren cleats or directly to the deck bitts.
Good to see the first sail rigged and I am really happy with the deep red color. Images below and thanks for reading and of course for the earlier "likes".
Now onto the main and mizzen sails! Perhaps I am just starting to see the finishing line emerging....
Cheers,
Nigel.

If it is intended to adhere to glass, then poly will provide a plastic surface that is about as close to glass as can be had. You probably want to give the surface a good rubdown wit 0000 steel wool, before, between and after each coat. Vacuum and tack rag the dust and steel fragments throughly after each treatment. Any steel left can rust and stain. 600 grit Silicon carbide paper may be a good alternative to steel wool.
