dkuehn got a reaction from mtaylor in Chris Watton and Vanguard Models news and updates
I figured patience was the way to go, but it's hard keeping the neurosis at bay. 😀

Some folks here have mentioned receiving an email from UPS for their DoK delivery. I haven't yet and I'm trying to figure out if I should be more patient or start panicking. 😬

I'd guess I'll get back at it in December. Maybe sooner as I have the Duchess of Kingston ordered and that might get the building juices flowing when it shows up. But I have a house that is almost rebuilt (after burning) that I'm going to have to move to pretty soon, sometime later this month. I'm guessing after I move and get the house set up I'll be inclined to resume the build.

Good luck on your rebuilding your house. You have a lot on your plate so, hopefully, finding a small amount of time to work on either of your ships will be a nice respite.

I hope you'll be able to return to this build soon.

I've got the lower shrouds on now, but some life stuff is getting in the way and reducing my building time dramatically. I'll keep pecking away at it.
Hi dkuehn,
Your build is looking very good.
I've just started a Flirt build and one of the reasons I bought it was to get more experience with ropes and rigging and ratlines which, when I look at the likes of the Victory builds on here, I just can't understand how folks have the patience and skill to manage all those ropes etc.
Anyway, please keep the pics coming...they are great for picking up tips....and just good to look at.
All the best,
Richard

OK, I finally had 17 boxes arrive just now, for the Duchess of Kingston plans, manual (81 pages) and box art.
We can now (well, my wife...) sort out the plans and manuals to put into the kits and I shall organise the UPS pick ups. All UK customers should receive by Tuesday, and outside UK a day or so later.
I had to re order more Speedy plans and manuals, which will be here next next, as I ran out of those...

Any update on this one? You get the correct parts yet?
I'm quite excited about this kit, so I can't help but ask. 😀

I know what you mean.
Still waiting for the replacement parts yet, and the discussion as to what timber is being used as the stuff I was supplied with with below par, and Amati are aware of this.
At the moment, Amati are prioritising Bismarck, which should be slated for release in November, but the current virus situation means that could change, affecting the replacement of Vic parts.
I'm still confident that they'll resolve this reasonably soon, but I can't see this being until New Year now.

I think everything is already cut and ready to go. He's just now waiting on the printers to do the 13 plan sheets, 80+ page manual and the box art label. I reckon a week tomorrow and these will be done. 🤪

All laser cutting was completed weeks ago, so am well ahead of the curve for this one. (It was a few weeks cutting, though, lots of parts in this one). As soon as the printed manuals, plans and box label arrive, the kits are ready to go out the door
