Maybe at the 100% original size, the cannons, the figurehead etc of WVH are 10% bigger than Berlin's. 1/40 of Berlin matches 1/50 of WVH (?!)
To scale up to 1/40 is a solution but there will be a lot of carving problems, I am not a sculptor. That will be an endless and fruitless pain for me.
It could be better to overcome my obsession...

Hi Chris,I have asked the scale problem to Corel ( info@corel-srl.it ).Here is the answer:"The right scale is 1/50.Sorry, there is a mistake on the leaflet!!"Very interesting situation... A product of a model manifacturer (modelling is based absolutely on the scale) is still being sold with a basic error...I will probably give up building WVH in future. My current build is Berlin with 1/40 scale. One of the reason of choosing WVH was that the two ships have the same ratio ( this is my obsession but... )...

Hi Michael,
That is beautiful. I like especially the drains. As I see from pictures, are they for the lower deck? By the reason of being out of sight, is there no need to pass through, to end with an orifice inside of the hull?

Looks great your scratch Brian,
Which diameter has the rope passing through?

Beautiful work, your alignment looks perfect, the rope work looks fantastic as well, very authentic. Any secrets?
Thank you Jason... The secret that my work seems to be good, is that you don't start rigging yet... (I follow all stages of your impressive build)

Very, very nice.
By the way, 25 years ago my HMS Victory cross section came with all one color, light tan line for both running and standing rigging. I used it and am happy to report that is has darkened uniformly and looks very nice as of this day. Of course yours is of a much higher calibre installation and is just going to look great.
Carry on, Mate.

Looks great Sjors.
Are there cannon balls on the handrails?

Thank you Matti,
every day I am learning...

What impress me in a model ship are transom and detailed cannon work...
I envy you the work you have shown to simulate cannons...

It was just a humor J.Pett, don't take me seriously... Me too, I move two steps forward, one step backward...

Thank you Nigel for your kindness...

Ahoy J.Pett,
You could build two Rattlesnakes in the same period... Doing, undoing, redoing... You can even save the time of undoing...
I envy you the patience and the determination you have...

You are wrong Ferit…..
They fire the cannons with cotton balls….
Looks good Jason !
No no Sjors!... I want molding metal mini cannon balls...
