@Javlin
Yes, she's white inside the fighting compartment and the engine bay

Man, those Albatros decal sheets are awesome! It's hard not to love WW1 aircraft for their colorful markings.
Your 1:28 Fokker is not an easy kit to find any more. I think the last time I saw that kit available was around the millennium. Maybe RoG has re released it since then?

I am stunned at those reduced prices. What a deal.

CDW reacted to yvesvidal in Calypso by mtdoramike - FINISHED - Billing Boats - 1:45 Scale
I have used all the fittings provided by Billing Boats. The hull requires a significant amount of lead/weight to be in its flotation lines.
My boat has sailed on the Mediterranean sea (inside a harbor) and never capsized. You should be perfectly fine with the brass barrels.

It’s my first time seeing it too. A big radial engine will fill the engine bay eventually. Going to see what I can do to leave some of the armor panels dry fitted to allow the finished model to show the interior. Would be a shame to cover all that detail never to be seen again.

Tamiya white primer goes down like a champ. Dries fast with a nice smooth finish. This should offer a perfect starting point for some interior weathering and wear.

CDW reacted to mtdoramike in Calypso by mtdoramike - FINISHED - Billing Boats - 1:45 Scale
I can't believe Billings used SOLID brass foir the deck barrels, 6 of them no less. That's one thing about Billings, they don't cheap out on their fittings. But, and there's always a but: these brass barrels weigh a good pound and a half to two pounds, which is way to much weight for any structure above the waterline unless you want to add a ton of ballast weight in the hull. I'm going to replace the brass tuned barrels with 1/2" wooden dowel rod, which will weigh considerably less. We'll see how they turn out, if I don't like them I can always resort back to the brass one's.

A little spit and polish and you won't know the difference.

CDW reacted to Egilman in 3d printing process
Thanks Ron for this, I've been going through some of these same issues with my Mono X trying to print a J-47 replacement for my F-86F... (except for the clean-up part) The explanation of what is happening with the RERF file, I've printed one, but couldn't find a thing online on what it represents... Now I know.... Thank You....
Yeah it's time to change the IPA... Pricy, very Pricy... 25.00 a gallon and I need 2.5 gallons... I think I've got 6 successful prints and about a dozen failures on this batch... the Wash N Cure makes doing cleaning easy, but I think Water Washable is in my future.... (still have 3/4ths a liter of basic grey to go)...
And I don't know why I forgot about this thread and forum area... I should have started posting here five weeks ago and I probably wouldn't have run into all my recent frustrations with print failures.......
Yech, live and learn...
Again thanks

Nice of you to think of me and wait Edward. I'm afraid that my special stock does not arrive until the week after next when my wife returns with it from her trip with a girlfriend.
Nice work Craig I have never seen the interior of a Lee and am learning as you progress.
