Preparation of the cannon deck. Since there is no grating in the deck above, there is little or no visible interior of this deck. The intention is to make the carriages of the cannons as simple as possible. And only add the (half) cannon barrels later. The first attempt failed, fortunately no photos. The second attempt was with wooden blocks. Reasonably good, but too visible when the sunlight shines on them. The third attempt has now reduced the size of these blocks and painted them completely black. This will be the method used for the bronze cannons. Maybe this will work. print the flags on regular paper first apply glue (pritt) around the area of the printed flags. and certainly up to the edge of your tissue paper. let it dry well. print. and cross your fingers 😉 I did mine on the (expensive) laser printer at work. After retiring, this is the only thing I miss now...

I dont think so. Please do. There is a book on the cannons of the Mary Rose. But is very hard to find. And if you find it, very expensive.

As mentioned in the title. Mary Rose "your Noblest Shippe". Not Mary Rose "a la Anthony" Anthony is helpful, but he is not always followed

The idea is to place four "larger" swivel cannons here. Why swivels? Because on the Anthony drawings the cannons on the back of the fore castels usually point upwards. And it is therefore suspected that these are swivels Why only four, Matches the drawing. "false openings" Make yourself appear stronger than you actually are? Is this setup final? Don't know..can change .
