  1. After a long break, we started again on Mary. The fore castle is painted, but the upper part was not really successful I thought. Too high and too green. So the height was adjusted. And repainted. Better, I think. Time to start on the 2 cannons in the fore castle. With special thanks to @henrythestaffy for the 3D printed cannons, much appreciated. (The brass cannons upper left are fore the Brandenburger yacht) there will be little to see of the carriages. So spend i little time on the details. Make wheels Use the crosscut saw to saw thin pieces. so that you can then knock out wheels across the grain. The barrels will be glued on later. A stair on both the sides is too much Then the stair to the upper deck must be in the middle. And that is just before the entrance (arrow). So from the lower deck a staircase on the starboard side. And to the upper deck a staircase on the port side. The error in the planking will be invissible later
  2. i use this. very easy to use, even for me 😉
  3. Miffed... don't. This is an old model with original rigging and sails.
  4. Construction of the rudder and further finishing of the transom Rudder Finishing the transom
  5. Added some extra detail on the 2 windows This part comes on the transom and is of very poor quality Extra detail on the transom windons Windows ready for painting and the repaired transom part A painted rear cabin and transom To do for next week
  6. You have experience with plastic models. So, simply explained. Airplane, tank or ship. First build the "hull". Then add the smaller parts
  7. Thanks for the comments and pressing the like button. Started building the pavilion (hopefully the right name) This is bigger than the original. And some windows have already been used elsewhere. So a new batch of windows is being made. The first ones in wood were disappointing. So they are now made in polystyrene. Pre-painted windows and wood. Assembled. And provided with a roof. I have also started applying the decoration. Not exactly as described but in line with the painting. Not all ladies fit perfectly in the new arrangement in the place where they will end up. To attach them more firmly, one lady needed a copper pin through her belly (ouch...) I have also started on a base plate. Afzelia wood, left over A few pieces of brass from a curtain holder. And 4 pieces of plastic (origin, forgotten...)
  8. Correct As far as I know. These standards serve as a reinforcement of the hull. Especially also on rear and fore castles if you do them flush with the wales (in pieces) then they have no strength anymore, and consequently little use. And, very nice work.
