  5. Really great work . This build is coming together nicely
  6. So just a few observations that I have noted during this stage of the build. I have never done sails before so tried to be as accurate as possible. But there are definitely some conflicting info in the build sheets supplied. Earlier in another build there was discussion about multiple ropes at various pinrails. Once I started tying ropes down . it can get really busy at the rails with the multiple ropes , also should be mentioned that the space to work in decreases with each attachment. So takes a lot of patience , tying and untying , then retying..... I actually detached the fore gaffsail , as I found that it kept obstructing the line of site , and once I had done the work on the foresails I re-attached it . May be something to keep in mind. I had to re attach a number of blocks on the foremast . Some were attached in the incorrect place , some were attached facing up when they should be down. So I guess I needed to pay closer attention to the instructions. Some of the blocks broke free when placed under the tension of the rope . Again I think it has to do with the 0.15 thread that seems to be very "brittle" . I eventually changed to 0.25 thread as it is a little more sturdy. Here are some shots of the fore pin rail . looks really busy
  7. Fore sail attached . Also showed views of the blocks arranged on the foresail as well as the rigging behind
  8. This is the fore topsail complete and fitted
  9. Work on the fore top gallant sail . I have showed the process I followed to prepared the sail . The blocks were attached to the lower corners
  10. An update on the build progress Worked on the foresails installation . This shows the Fore Royal Sail Front and rear view to show the rigging
  11. Ship looks great , the addition of the figures makes it look more "alive". Might be a thought to add to my build
  12. Looking great, I wouldn"t worry to much on the damages , they seem to happen every so often. I think when we work in the confininggarea of a model it just lends itself to bumping etc. Just the other day I realised I should not be wearing my watch as it seems to snag on all the rigging etc
  13. This is the main mast pin rack , with multiple lines attached . And then with rope hanks for the photo
  14. Back to the sails . Worked on the fore a main gaff sails . Attached the brass rings and necessary lanyards .
  15. Update on my travails I decided to try some rope hanks on belaying pins to see the effect. I tried them on multiple pin racks to see how they would look
