Hello everyone, I have very little time at the moment as I am renovating the lower floor of my house. But every now and then I do find myself drawn to the workshop. Here are a few progress pictures. I looked at the plans again and noticed that the planks seemed to be overhanging. @G. Delacroix was able to help me and confirmed it. So I dismantled the first two planks and replaced them.

Good morning Mark, fantastic work on the planks, as always a feast for the eyes. However, I am not 100% sure that the two boards are flush. I am currently sending a request to Gerard about this. When I look at the plans, I get the impression that the two boards are a little longer to create a more harmonious transition.

Ben, I congratulate you on completing this wonderful model, it turned out fantastically. Syren's kit is simply fantastic and of high quality, just like all of her models. I wish you a happy new year 2025.

Good morning everyone, the work on the Le Rochefort is coming to an end. A few small things will be done in the next few days, but nothing earth-shattering before the summer break begins. The Admiralty and yours truly are heading south and we will spend two lovely weeks on the coast of Croatia. Now a few final pictures, this time in original size with all the parts made so far and shown dry on the ship. This will also be the construction stage with which I will attend the international meeting in Evian in October. What still needs to be done after the holiday is the construction of the transport and exhibition showcases. I would like to thank you again for all the comments and likes, but also for the odd tip and the odd criticism, which is just as important as praise.

I can only agree with Mark, G. Delacroix is always very helpful, and when I have questions I always turn to him, although in the French forum. I can only recommend it, there you will find around 15 Le Rochefort and a chapter with general questions specifically for Le Rochefort. Among others, Adrian @a.sorolla is always there to help and advise.

Wonderful start Vladimir, I'm looking forward to your new project. -
Thank you for your comments and the likes received, always much appreciated. The waterway has been made and the first planks have found their place on the deck. As Mark already mentioned in his build log, this is a bit tricky because they are twisted and have changing angles. Make decorative strips, measure the height and mark them with the help of tape. Thank you for your visit and see you soon.

Hello Chuck @Chuck, thank you for your comment, much appreciated. I am following your construction of the Speedwell with great interest, as I plan to start it after Le Rochefort and La Palme. I bought the books almost two years ago and have already enlarged the plans to 1:36. @giampieroricciRicci, thank you too for your comment, it is always a pleasure when you stop by my blog, see you in October in Evina.

Good morning Mark @No Idea, thank you. Yes, the side pieces are awful. The first time I tried Adrian's method, but I failed. Then I remembered your report and tried this, it was much better, but still not satisfactory. Somehow I can't draw well enough to get the same effect. So I went back to the method I tried with the small side pieces on La Palm. First cut out the curved shape and then the side profile. It worked very well.
