    I have that kit but have not started it yet.I will follow your build log to get some construction tips.

    I finished putting the sails on the fore mast.Next up;i will rig the bowsprit,jibboom and dolphin striker with both rope and chains.

    I got real lucky on Ebay and found it on Ebay for 30 bucks!It may be more difficult but I think I will play this out and see how it goes.

    I am making the Revell Thermopylae which is very similar to the Sark.Is that the Revell kit?

    I put a brass tube inside of the plastic mast halves and replaced the upper mast with another tube.I relocated the shroud and anchor chains to the side of the hull,which will require me to tie my own ratlines,as the kit supplied plastic ratlines are now too short.

    Get an Optivisor!I had to get one to see fine details when I work and it makes a huge difference!

    Wow!The Minwax Polyacrylic really makes the mahogany glow!can't wait to do the entire hull!

    Finished casting ,painting and installing the cannon.the resin casting idea worked out well and thanks to the 40% off Hobby Lobby coupon in the newspaper ,I got the complete resin casting kit for less than 20 bucks!Win Win all around!I still have to do the deck cannon but progress is steady.

    Nick,I just pulled the trigger and ordered the kit.Should be easy compared to my Ersatzia!

    I decided to paint the bottom of the boat white.Looks pretty good!
