Thank you for your kind comments - even though my AV fades a bit compared to Joachim's masterpiece. I more or less stick with the kit content and just try to correct the errors I discover.
Nontheless, another major task has been accomplished - the foremast is complete and glued into place. The bottom shrouds will have to wait being attached until I find some suitable nails. I have some brass nails but the head is rounded and too big.
The work continues on the mizzen mast - at least there are fewer ratlines on this on ;-)

Finished the components of the paddle-wheel: varnished the blades and shaft, painted the paddle-wheels and rod arms and varnished them as well and finally everything is in place.

This is the rebuilt of my built log of the Mare Nostrum, which I completed.
The pictures of the start of the built are missing, so I inserted the pics of the instruction sheet to show the start.
Trust the pictures are self explanatory, since I will only publish the pictures, not the comments.

Thank you for all the comments everyone. I would hope however that if you did see something that was maybe not up to scratch, or doesn't look quite right, you would be up to commenting on that as well
Anyway, another productive day today.
Last post you saw the second deck being started and I continued to construct the first cabin.
Here is the first cabin being prepared with planking, windows and doors, also some of the walls being painted black.
Here are three of the outer walls and the internal separating walls mounted to the rear of the deck.
Next we have to work on what will be the removable front wall.
Now you can see here that really I shouldn't get all the plaudits for the wallpapering as it all comes with the kit and it so easy to fit.
Here we see the wallpaper pasted on. It really makes a difference doesn't it???
And here is the cabin with the removable front wall in place. OcCre do make it so easy. It almost puts itself together
The front cabins are a bit different and require different windows. These have to have black outer frame with a grey rebate. This is the sort of thing I do find a bit difficult. I have cut a small brush even thinner, but...............
I did make a start on the cabin, planking it and this time painting the inside white
Just as a finish I thought I would show you my latest purchase. They are called finger sanders and are spring loaded to tension the sanding loops. They are made by a company called Proops and are available on Ebay. The spare sanding belts can be got from the same place and at £1.50 each for the 10mm and 20mm and £1.95 for the 40mm they certainly don't break the bank.
Well I certainly hope the days to come are just as productive. I think I am very fortunate being able to work on this any time, for as long as like. I normally spend the afternoon and early evening constructing.

Finished the first deck stairways. It was not an easy job to me, it took me a week and have redone them several times to have them symmetrical to each other and to have a 180 degrees winding.
Maybe it can be of help to beginner builders to describe the way I at last succeeded:
1. Glued the first curved step to the stairway column at the height of 5 steps
2. Glued the other curved steps with a minimum of overlap
3. Glued one straight step to arrive at a winding of 180 degrees
4. Glued the other 4 straight steps to each other, again with a minimum of overlap and with help of some wood as a frame
5. Glued the short railing to the 4 straight steps and then all together to the stairway column
6. Finished by glueing the long railing and handrails
Have dryfitted the stairways after each and every step to see whether they will fit.
As can be seen, one of the loose end of the long railings was broken, so I decided to cut it of from the other longrailing as well. If I donot like the result when placed the stairs on deck, I will restore them.

Thanks Jarero, I think the painted ones are more authentic. Somewhere I read the King of the Mississippi by Artesania is the most beautiful never existed paddle steamer. I like the look of it.

Thanks very much Wayne, I am flattered. Problem with Sjors is that when you give him an inch, he'll take a yard. Offered him to pop his corn and see what happened, he now comes up with a piza (and I am afraid that's only a starter) !

Thanks for nice comments.
Some small details are added on the hull - the side stairs, anchor lining and the rudder chain.
