Hello Kevin,
It looks like the log entry "misfired." For some reason a previous entry of mine repeated itself for which I apologize. Don't know why it happened. Anyhow, just wanted to say hello and mention that I always pin my spars to the mast; much easier that way.
Your work is bringing back much memories and it seems like only yesterday that we were working at the same time on HMSV along with David, Shipyard Sid. I miss those times and I also miss David. Please say hello to him for me.

I hope Gil doesn't mind communicating with you on his site but I received a message from you and wanted to wish you good luck in building the HMS Victory. It's been a long while since I have been to Model Ship World as we have been extremely busy planning and then eventually moving from Florida to South Carolina. Hello to all my friends who may have wanted to know if I'm still alive. YES, I am and still kicking.

Hi Gil.. I designed the case with a removeable back. This made it much easier to get the ship into the case. As you know, I had the acrylic display case built for me and they were able to get it through the front door with no problem. One thing: The overall with of the main yard on my model is 20.5 inches. I double checked the plans and found that to be true. Hope you are having a nice weekend..GO SEAHAWKS !!!!

There are probably no accolades left to describe your fantastic rendition of HMS Victory. I'm so happy that we live a few thousand miles apart because there is little likelihood that your Victory and mine will ever appear side by side. I'm sure I've thanked you before for tutoring me and the many other Victory builders but I feel I need one last time to express my appreciation. Hello again everyone..
It took a long time but we finally received the display case from our manufacturer and our Bounty is happily on display in our living room. She proudly sits on the other side of the narrows from HMS Victory vying for the most attention. This will close out our joint effort in the building oh the HMS Bounty.

Hello Popeye...
Things are progressing with our move. The Penske rental truck is all loaded with 8 ship models; see the attached photo. All the cradles were specially designed for each model and they are screwed into the truck bed with a 1" slab of foam between each cradle board and the truck bed. We leave first thing in the morning. We are in the process of building a house on Keowee Lake in Salem, SC. Our development is named, Keowee Key, located in Salem SC, so check it out on the internet. Your admiral and you will love this place. It's winters are very mild, golf and boating all year (the lake never freezes).. Keowee Lake is 24 miles long with about 300 miles of shoreline. The amenities in Keowee Key are outstanding and I'm positive that you and your admiral will fall in ove with the place. Who knows, you may become our neighbors? I hope so!

I guess I have neglected your build site and for that I apologize. I became so engrossed in my own build that I selfishly didn't exploe other builds. From what I see you certainly know what you are doing and before long you will have a beautiful trophy at your home. Keep up the very good detailed work and try and have some fun. Your log is very well constructed and will help many others in the future.
