Ok, my book is 40 pages, so nothing is missing.
I went through all the parts and marked them as wood or metal as I saw how disorganized the instructions actually are. I hope I got it covered. But thanks for the warning. There are a hundred things to keep track of here. To keep full control of the build (as with the PE parts) you have to jump from plan to plan looking for parts without really knowing what plans you should check. Sometimes several plans just for one area of the build.... Amati could have done that part a little better...

Happy to be of some use. Now I see that I missed those parts under the poop deck. Good thing you posted that.
You mentioned the "second book" and I only have one book. How many pages does your first book have? Hopefully I have a version that has your two books printed as one...

Mr. Pucko:
My first book has 32 pages (back cover of parts pictures is page 32). The second book has 8 pages of photos, including front and back cover, but the important ones are the inside 6, which are all views of deck fittings installed.
If you can't find yours, I'd be happy to send you some hi res pics of my pages, since there aren't that many. Let me know.
By the way, when I went to assemble the parts under the poop deck, I was going crazy trying to find cast metal ventilator housings, until I finally saw that the fan housing is made of wood (while the other parts are metal). Easy to miss if your eye is looking for metal.

David

I worked on the "Gotheborg" and lowered all the top masts but was up in the masts and not on deck so I missed where the belaying points where...
Can't remember if there was one or two lines on the lift, but since there are two sheaves it seems logic that there would be two ropes as well...
Could 411 be for the foremast and 413 be for the main mast? 410 and 416 for fore and main yard? 416 is described as "Driza verga mayor". Spanish "Driza" is Halliard so it would go to the yard... "main yard halliard"
Found this pic that shows the blocks for the lift.

Here's a shout out to Mr. Pucko for his comment about getting PE parts and other detail onto the ship as I go. He's right -- the instructions don't mention it, and so I looked hard at the plan sheets, and saw that the parts are indicated there. What's deceptive is that the very good picture book doesn't show these things installed as the build progresses. It isn't until you get to the second book, which shows all the deck fittings at once, that they show up in the pics. And as Mr. Pucko suggests, at that point the installation would be much more difficult because of access restrictions.
So here are two samples of what I went back and picked up. And now I'll study the plan charts carefully as I build, and look for details.
Regards,
David

The Strips are a pain in the a$$... Why they didn't do them laser cut I don't know. Had I known about these I'd might bought some other kit. Apart from that it IS a wonderful kit...
The bow is too narrow but no one I know has any knowledge about this so I don't care 😊

That computer I still keep for handling legacy documents and for running my CANON slide-scanner that has a SCSI-connection only 😳

Or is 411 the lifting ropes for the topmast??? And 410-416 for the main spar? I have to check this again tomorrow, now is bedtime...

Last first:
Line 406 should go to one of the 431 belaying points.
lifting ropes:
On page E in the booklet the lifting ropes (410-416) go straight down to the blocks behind the mainmast (i hope it is the main mast) so these blocks will be belaying points 410-416 and 411-413...
Line 414 should be belayed to block closest to deck.
The same should work for the fore mast. The cleats I do not know why they are there (yet)...
Hope you understand me...

I agree with the location of line 406 - makes much more sense. I understand what you are saying about the other lines. Its just that 410,413,416 are not shown on the belaying plan - most likely are the blocks behind the fore & main masts. It also doesn`t help that all the descriptions in the rigging plans are only in Spanish. I did find a conversion of nautical terms from Spanish to English, but half of the terms in the plans were not listed in the conversion chart. Thanks for the help Mr Pucko - much appreciated. Now,if we can just figure out what those 2 cleats are for.............

Looking good!
You might want to glue on the PE doors, ladders and windows now. The instructions does not say when to do this (or at least I have not found this) so check what PE to do now before the walls becomes too hard to access...

Well, we could try and figure it out together since I also have the plans....
Tell me what lines etc you are working with and I'll see if my tired brain could be of any help...

Attention an error in the DeAgostini collection!
The Polish edition of the collection for notebook No. 92 adds a duplicate of parts C28, C30, and C31

First layer planking are plank strips. Should be enough of them to cover the extras...
the strips may be fine also. The piece with the hole where the anchorchain comes out (anyone help me with the name for that hole?) has been trimmed so it could be that the ply strips would be long enough. (Forgot to mention before that one has to cut these strips from a large piece of thin ply. Should be easy to add a little in length to these strips while cutting)

Update - the bowsprit is now done. The kit supplied dowels were tapered using a small plane & lots of sanding, then a walnut stain was applied. A flat spot was filed for the knee holding the flagstaff & was glued in place. A couple of spacers were made for the jib boom & some "iron" straps made from black card - the kit showed the straps made from brass strip, but I couldn`t get them bent just right ,so I just used the black paper. The forward area was painted black according to the construction photos - I would normally not paint this area, but the plywood knee looked awful & I didn`t feel like making a new one. Rope wooldings were then added using black .5mm thread. Just one odd thing - the stem has 2 gammoning holes, but the construction pictures only show one rope,so I added a second set of cleats to the bowsprit & will use 2 ropes. I thought about opening up the slots in the stem, but it would have made for a slot 14mm long - too long for just one rope. All rigging blocks will be added later after all masts are built.
