Hi Steve,just about to do my main mast shrouds.Are there 6 shroud lines and 2 back stays or 7 shroud lines,thanks Ron.

The 0.15 thread needs to go straight into the rubbish.I used 1mm black thread for the shrouds instead of their brown 0.8 it saves dying or painting the shrouds.Last time I painted shrouds I had flecks of paint across the deck I had a lot of trouble removing.Just ordered more black and raw thread 0.25mm,that will keep me going until I get further along.

Thanks Denis,I tried wax on the occre thread but it still looked terrible.

Onto the shrouds,i used .25 caldercraft thread to connect the deadeyes as the 0.15 occre thread is very hairy.I also changed the long boat tie down thread.

Looking good,I used card for everything they said to use brass for much easier to work with and looks better.

Hi Max,i'll do the sails I have done furled sails before not easy on the first one but once you get the technique it was easy.Should be interesting anyway that's a long way off yet.ron.

Thanks a lot Max,Denis,Augie.I used the electric drill in the garage for the spars getting used to that method now.The deck furniture is good fun.
