kpnuts got a reaction from popeye the sailor in Ducati 1299 Panigale S by kpnuts - FINISHED - 1/4 scale - die-cast
My honest opinion of the kit is it is way over priced, that said it is the only one in this huge scale and does allow for a lot of detailing.
I may have said it once or twice but they really did a lot of penny pinching on this kit, for another tenner it could be an amazing kit.

kpnuts got a reaction from Ryland Craze in Ducati 1299 Panigale S by kpnuts - FINISHED - 1/4 scale - die-cast
Next update working on the rear wheel this is what pocher would have you use.
So for the horrendously expensive price of £7.50(including postage)I got these.
Money well spent, the eagle eyed among you will notice I even put the yellow paint on the allen bolts to show if they have loosened. They would even have you attach the rear sprocket with Phillip's screws.

So the throttle bodys finished and added next problem the awful fit of the exhaust (yes on a kit this expensive there are bad fitting parts)

kpnuts got a reaction from tarbrush in Bentley 4.5 litre (altered version) by kpnuts 1/12 Airfix
Started on the seats (I will be adding padding to the edges where the red paint is when I find something suitable) I didn't do too much weathering to the seats as its supposed to be well looked after.

I did respoke the wheels with florists wire (a job I will never undertake again)
These are the parts that need repainting, and the colour they will be.

The chassis needed a fair bit of cleaning up.

kpnuts got a reaction from Ponto in Bentley 4.5 litre (altered version) by kpnuts 1/12 Airfix
Reworked some of the engine.
When I first got this back I had visions of turning it into Chitty but then thought I would check out the different versions this engine was used in and decided on the boat tail version.
What's funny is the first guess a lot of people made on what I was doing with it was Chitty (I thought turning it into Chitty was quite original and no one would think of that)
I quite liked the idea so my question is (I dont know how to do a poll) which would you like to see most the red boat tail Bentley or Chitty.

In the years since I built this kit I like to think I've got better at weathering engines realistically so this ones coming out to have a do over.

Hi all I got this back from the person I sold it to, can you guess which version (it's extremely rare and worth £132,000) and as a hint there is a lot of wood involved.

Hi all well I've made a big decision (I thought there was too much back end on it) so I've decided theres enough room for rear seats. There were lots of coach builders in those days and you could have it built anyway you liked if you had the money, so whose to say it wasnt like this.
The only thing now I've bitten the bullet is should I stick with a single seat or go with a double and have I gone back far enough.
