Modeling with Sketchup
Nirvana replied to Fernandito's topic in CAD and 3D Modelling/Drafting Plans with Software
Fernando, Welcome to MSW where no question escapes, there will be an answer sooner or later, as for your question of bezier curves, there is a plugin available from Trimble SketchUp. Here is the link for such: http://www.sketchup.com/download/rubyscripts.html -
Use this website for downloading this amazing program http://www.sketchup.com/ I have many years of usage of the program, but I have paid for mine in order to resolve the issue of resolution and printing. I got this program in 2000 when it was first released by @Last Software this for house design and drafting, very simple and with short learning curve. But back to this amazing ship, very nice the way you are "building" the ship!

Ship Modeler's Workbench
Nirvana replied to CaptCraig's topic in Modeling tools and Workshop Equipment
Thank you Wayne, I found it under the "More Reply Options" I went to my local "glass shop" had two sheets of 1/8" plexi-glass cut to order in this case 30"x48" Perfect for the main portion of the building table. This way, I can have one plan underneath a protective glass. It's easy to change the plans as they just slide in-between the two sheets. Some one in the old type of forum was using this way. -
Ship Modeler's Workbench
Nirvana replied to CaptCraig's topic in Modeling tools and Workshop Equipment
The design of my "external" workshop is developing, during the same time I am still working on my ships. In the office/workshop I have got two sheets of plexiglass each 1/8" thick, this to put schematics/plans in between. Somehow the feature of inserting an imagine is gone for me. The only way is to providing an "URL"? Wish to show some pictures from my camera which has been saved on the Pc. -

My Atari 512 STFm gave up on me, that with the bandstation and non number modem, otherwise I would be in the game! In another sentence, I have it going and with automatic updates. Thank you all for the support and down grading of PC units. Now it really works. Double -

Ship Modeler's Workbench

Workshop is planned over on my property, unfortunate other "items on the agenda" has higher priorities. So far it is a combined office/workshop in the house. As for permits, living outside city limits I think I have different code regarding size of workshop. But I haven't checked it. Would like something in the size of 12x20. Someone told me as long it is not fixed to a foundation and it can be moved from the piers "size" doesn't matter. Once again I haven't got it confirmed. Besides that would be awesome being able to move the workshop to next location! -

Thank you all, the reason I posted this one I have tried all different ways to do this as simple as possible. Dr. Per is banging his head to find a better way. User of Windows 7 Pro, latest Firefox and latest Google Chrome along with latest IE. Nothing works for me. Old machinery? -
Well, call me an old fart in this matter, but am I the only one who liked the old version when it came of topics and how the system followed only to the topics you had responded to without doing anything? Now I have to click and save the topics I am responding to. Sometimes I forget to click "Follow the Topic" and further down the road may have forgotten the topic "thread" I am following. Any possibillities to this changed? So once I have responded to a topic or thread I get the next responses without doing anything? Just a humble question

Dremel is defiinatly one item. Table Saw yes, but I don't have one. Modeler belt sander yes.!

Rum for me to honor Donna! -
I have a no name scroll saw still in box (with laser guide, light and vacuum, (friend of mine has been using the same with amazing results)) considering selling it and going with the simple hand-jeweler saw for easy accuracy. Only my two cents.
